Links to stats corrected
I was horrified to find out earlier today (when I checked to see if someone had ever been in the Parish Walk) to discover that all the links on the Statistics Page were broken.
I moved all the PDF files I created the week after the 2009 event to a folder called "2009" last week and changed all the links on the 2009 race site. But I forgot to change them on this year's site.
Fixed now.
I've also lost the StatCounter software - that's a job for tonight to reinstate.

As boring as it gets
After the panic to get the new site designed and published I have been continuing to tidy up.
In theory I should have started up with a completely new folder files containing all of the new site but in practice I cheat by copying the old folder and then adding in new files as and when required. But then I end with all sorts of files for which I can't remember their purpose.
So tonight I re-named all of the photos within the new site and republished them. Tedious stuff but it will help with the service I provide on the site in the long term.
It was almost as interesting as moving all of the pdf files with the stats after last years race to a different folder at lunchtime today - and then changing the links.
It made changing the links of the sponsors logos from www.scottishwidows.com to www.scottishwidows.co.uk quite interesting. Correcting the links to the route description and sponsorship form to include the version with the Parish Walk logo was truly exciting.

A few modifications
I've been really knackered tonight and struggling to get things done. But I have managed thhe following:
1. Update all 12 page descriptions to show Scottish Widows Parish Walk. This is the description you see if you do a Google search (or any other search for that matter) and it was still showing Clerical Medical.
2. Updated the links to the 2009 results on the archive page - I had copied the link to the 2008 results and edited the text but not the link. This works correctly now.
3. Added a few details about Dermot O'Toole and his book A Walk Through Time to the Media page. It is going to be republished in 2010.
4. Added photos of Tim Glover and John Watterson the sports editors of Manx Radio and Isle of Man Newspapers respectively.

7 days for 7 months
I hope that you all find this website and blog helpful in the next 7 months.
The last 7 days have seen me put the website together in the nick of time - just an hour to spare.
I shall look forward to seeing the first entries when I get up tomorrow.
Murray
